The IRLS 2012 Lily Garden Bus Tour included visits to four gardens from Marshalltown to Shellsburg to
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. July's  temperature that day topped 100 degrees but the bus was fully air-conditioned
with lots of iced water for the passengers!  IRLS members and friends visited a local nursery in Cedar
Rapids plus dined in the Amanas before returning home to the Des Moines area.
Wanda's mostly sunny garden features wide border beds filled hundreds of blooming True Lilies, Daylilies,
clematis and other flowering perennials. One blooming Tall Bearded Iris made a special appearance! Both
Hostas and garden visitors enjoyed the large shade areas under the trees in the garden center.
